Institution: KNMI
Open Until: 2018-09-28
The R&D Department of Seismology and Acoustics, part of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), has a vacancy for a software developer in the context of the Horizon 2020 project EOSC-hub.
The EOSC-hub mission is to contribute to the European Open Science Cloud implementation by enabling seamless and open access to a system of research data and services provided across nations and multiple disciplines. In this project KNMI is responsible for the setup of the EPOS-ORFEUS Competence Center (CC). The CC will deliver a software platform that will:
facilitate access and exploitation of computational resources;
support harmonisation and foster best practices for data management;
enable generation of user-driven seismological products.
EOSC-hub offers strategic opportunities to strengthen the collaboration with national and international e-Infrastructure providers leveraging seismo-acoustic data, compute and storage resources and the requirements of the solid-Earth science community.
